The National Seminar on Corporate Governance was organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in partnership with NFCG on August 23, 2008 at Mumbai. This seminar was the first of the four series of seminars being organised by ICAI-NFCG at various place across the country during this year with an aim to create awareness in good governance practices. The seminar focused mainly on addressing to the Corporate Governance related issues confronted by both the Private and Public Sector entities, whether listed or unlisted, i.e. the Proactive role of Board to improve Corporate Governance effectiveness; Corporate Governance practices in Public Sector Enterprises; Corporate Governance practices in family Owned Business & SME Sector,; and Impact of IT in facilitating Corporate Governance & Risk Management.
