Brief Report
Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, conducted the National Declamation Contest 2013 on 2nd March 2013. The topic for the contest was “Framework Code of Good Corporate Governance – A Theme for Ensuring the Sustainability and Competitiveness of Indian Businesses in Today’s Globalized Economy”.
The contest was highly appreciated by all the participants who came from different parts of the country such as IIM Ranchi (1 participant), NITIE Mumbai (4 participants), Greatlake Chennai (1 participant), SIBM Bangalore (1 participant), Dhruv College Hyderabad (2 particiapnts), IIT Mumbai (1 participant), ISB Hyderabad (1 participant), Welingkar Mumbai (2 participant), SIBM Pune (2 participants), and our own 2 participants.
The list of prize winners are -
1st – Mr Shreyas Powar, Welingkar Mumbai
2nd – Mr Sumit Kapoor, SIMS Pune
3rd – Mr Amol Mankar, IIT Bombay
The contest started at 9:45am and extended till 5:45pm. It was like a SERMON on CORPORATE GOVERNANCE as expressed by one of the participants. Every individual was given half an hour to 45 minutes for presentations followed by Q & A. Also they were given the CERTIFICATES OF PARTICIPATION.
Mr Vinayak Bapat, Ex CFO, Reliance Industries Ltd and Mr P K Rajagopal, Independent Director judged the event.
